Dan Gottlieb and Penny Herscovitch are internationally recognized Los Angeles-based designers and Associate Professors of Spatial Experience Design at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, CA. They co-lead the design studio Padlab, with over two decades of experience in light and materials innovation, spatial installation and exhibition design. Their international projects include: cross-cultural educational initiatives with Tama Art University, Tokyo, KISD in Cologne, Germany, and Tongji University, Shanghai; the Donghia Foundation funded Lighting Lab at ArtCenter; and lighting for L.A.’s Skirball Cultural Center. Their award-winning initiatives have been exhibited in Tokyo, Shanghai, Milan, London, DC, and at the United Nations, NY.
